Wendy (Christian) Duff

Our beloved sister Wendy Duff left us unexpectedly but peacefully on May 13th.  Wendy had a huge loving heart of gold.  She would give to anyone and loved everyone, putting  a smile on the faces of all!  Her love for family was portrayed endlessly.  Wendy had a love for nature which could be seen in her drawings and doodles.

Preceded in death by a mere five weeks was the love of her life, James Francis Duff (Jim).  In addition were both sets of parents, George & Betty Christian, Jack & Kay Duff, Susie Duff, John Duff as well as her beloved “Nonny”.   Wendy left behind her siblings Laura Christian, Doug (Ginny) Christian, Linda (Dennis) Miller and Brad Christian as well as in-laws Kathy, Tom (Pam) Duff, Anne (Bob) Dorneker , Margaret (Will) Walsh, Mary (Jim) Arey, Patty (Bob) Marino, Bob Duff and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Wendy encountered MANY in her short 61 years on earth and will be sorely missed.

A Celebration Of Life will take place on Sunday July 21 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Clarkson Park, 1950 New Willow Rd., Northfield IL.  We welcome all to join us in celebrating the life of our beloved Wendy (“Wads”).

I have a lot of great memories from growing up on Bristol and being around the Christian family. So sorry to hear about the passing of Wendy.

Wendy would walk daily past my house on Tripp Avenue. Always observing changes in surroundings, especially nature. She always asked how we were before saying anything about herself although I knew she had challenges she was facing personally. Wendy will always be remembered here in Old Irving Park for her kindness and caring for others. She is resting in peace with the love of her life and without the challenges of mortal life. Enjoy your walks and talks in heaven Wendy. I will always remember the time we shared here.
