Mariann Therese Guider (1954-2019); beloved daughter of Eletta nee Chiapetta and Thomas F.; dearly loved sister of Sr. Margaret Eletta Guider, OSF, treasured niece and cousin of many, and special friend to loved ones around the world. Throughout her life, Mariann flourished as a special education student, developmental training participant and workshop employee at St. Mary of Providence. Active for many years in the SPRED program of St. Pascal Parish, she was an enthusiastic member of the various faith communities to which she belonged over the years. She was a Special Olympian and recipient of gold and silver medals in a number of sporting events, especially bowling, soft ball and track & field. As an adult resident of Rose Marian Hall, she was blessed with the companionship of lifelong friends as well as the loving care of many dedicated Daughters of St. Mary of Providence and countless devoted staff members. Over the course of her life, Mariann enjoyed music, dancing, exercising, swimming, Brown’s Chicken and the White Sox. Most of all, she loved everyone who came into her life and always proved to be a blessing in the lives of everyone who loved her in return. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mariann’s memory to St. Mary of Providence, 4200 N.
