James J. Sampey, 85, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted family. Beloved husband of 59 years to Margaret Mary nee Gibbons. Loving father of James Patrick (Carol), Peggy (Steve) Schwartz, and Eileen Ann (Mark) Crowley. Proud grandfather of James, Rachel and Ryan Sampey, Connor Schwartz and Kevin, Ryan, and Brendan Crowley. Dear brother of Robert (Carol), Kathleen, and the late Charles (late Pat), Winnie (late Robert) Reid, Jack (Geri), Michael (Marge), Frank (Judy), Martin (Carolyn), Thomas (late Ann) and Maureen. Funeral Saturday 9:15 AM from Gibbons Family Funeral Home 5917 W. Irving Park Rd (½ Block East of Austin) to St. Hilary Church. Mass 10 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8 PM. James enjoyed his time with family and was an avid Louisville Cardinals fan.
