Hi Father Jim…
Our condolences are with you and your family… I‘ll never forget the phone call you made to me when my father passed away…You did not know him, but you took the time to call me to get to know him, and your homily was as if you knew him well… May God bless you and your family, as your sister has joined God in heaven!
God Bless,
Mike and Maura Maloney
Dear Father Jim: Losing a family member is a trip down memory lane. Memories sustain us to some degree. You have been a good and loyal friend and we want you to know that you and family are in our prayers. God bless you. Love from Marge & Ed

Dear Fr. Jim,
I was so saddened to hear of your sisters death. May your memories of your life together be comfort to you during this difficult time. Feel free to call if you need anything. I will never forget your kindness to me.

I had the privilege of getting to know Dawn after marrying into her family. She was always warm, welcoming and always seemed to really care about the people she held close. She went out of her way to let you know that you were important to her whenever you saw her, even if she was struggling herself. She will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have had her in their life.
With love,
Kerissa Falson
None of us knew that a few months ago would be the last time we saw each other in person. I’m glad we were able to see each other and that Dawn got to meet Olivia before she passed. Even though for the past several years we’ve lived far away, Dawn was always asking how we were and always checking in on Liv. I’ll miss getting the holiday or birthday texts from Dawn (she would always be the first to send them). Unfortunately we can’t be there this week, but we’ll keep Dawn in our prayers.
I’ll end with the Irish blessing. “May the road rise to meet you…”
Love,
Phillip, Kerissa, and Olivia
Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains. At the request of Anthony Spalla, Dawn will be remembered at the next Police Mass.
In the meantime, may family and friends know the healing touch of our all-loving, all-merciful God! [Police Chaplains Ministry: http://www.ChicagoPCM.org or 312/738-7588]
