We mourn the loss of Vickie Collins, a beloved sister, mother, and cherished member of the community. Vickie passed away on June 29, 2023. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Vickie was born on September 15,1970 in Chicago to Carol (née Albino) and Jay Collins. She was a loving sister and an example of perseverance and kindness to her surviving brother and sisters.
Vickie’s greatest joy in life was her two children, Johnny (Amanda) and Casey and her grandchildren, Serenity & John III.
Johnny and Casey will forever cherish the memories of her caring heart.
Vickie was an active member of Tim’s house ministry church, where she shared her life and kind heart with all who knew her. Her compassionate nature touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression.
A memorial viewing service will be held on July 14th at Gibbons Family Funeral Home 5917 W. Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL . From 4-8 pm. Friends, family, and all those whose lives were touched by Vickie are invited to attend and pay their respects. Visitors please wear bright colors as Vickie would want us to be colorful instead of in black. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Tim’s House (Mt. Olive Church) 3850 N Tripp, Chicago, IL 60641 at 3:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Tim’s House Ministry an organization that was close to Vickie’s heart.
During this difficult time, may we find solace in the memories we shared with Vickie and the positive impact she made on our lives. She will forever remain in our hearts, a shining light that will never fade.
