Leonard Koplitz, 75, son of the late Lester and Valerie nee Koperski; older brother to Donald (Maureen) and Jeffrey; Graduate of Weber High School and earned a basketball scholarship to St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where he earned a BA. He also earned a MPA from IIT in 1976. He joined Chicago Police force in 1973 and was promoted to sergeant in 1980, retired in 2001. Visitation Tuesday from 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 AM at St. Bernadine Church 7246 Harrison St., Forest Park.
