Wally, you were one of the greatest friends I ever had…I remember the days in the 013 District to the years that followed. I’ll never forget the great times we had meeting for lunch and a few drinks after you retired. I remember my first day of retirement I met you for lunch and you told me how happy you were that I made it to the finish line. Rest in peace my brother, You will never be forgotten.

I can’t believe the sad news. Wally and I had some great experiences on 1433 when it was still OK to have some fun while fighting crime. He may be gone, but he won’t be forgotten. I’ll have a margarita for him the next time I’m at a Mexican restaurant.

So sad to hear this. We were childhood friends in Chicago. It was wonderful seeing Wally at our grade school reunion a few years ago. Fond memories…….
My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
