Wally, you were one of the greatest friends I ever had…I remember the days in the 013 District to the years that followed. I’ll never forget the great times we had meeting for lunch and a few drinks after you retired. I remember my first day of retirement I met you for lunch and you told me how happy you were that I made it to the finish line. Rest in peace my brother, You will never be forgotten.
I will forever cherish our friendship. I miss you my friend.😘

The midnight crew in 014 was the best. Quite a tag team on Bt. 1433 Gary Olsen, Pat Conway and of course Wallace Miller(as called by the north ave working girls) and Val Perovich, The best time on the job, I’ll miss you Wally! Steve Tentler bt. 1423.
I can’t believe the sad news. Wally and I had some great experiences on 1433 when it was still OK to have some fun while fighting crime. He may be gone, but he won’t be forgotten. I’ll have a margarita for him the next time I’m at a Mexican restaurant.
So sad to hear this. We were childhood friends in Chicago. It was wonderful seeing Wally at our grade school reunion a few years ago. Fond memories…….
My condolences to his family. He will be missed.
