Sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing. He was like one of the cousins we grew up with. He was such a jovial person. Always smiling like Irish eyes. I’m sure he missed his Nora. His kids and grandkids will surely miss him. Unfortunately Rick and I will not be able to attend. We are traveling to Florida for the winter.
My condolences to the Marks family. May Jimmy Rest In Peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Christine Maguire
Jimmy was like an uncle to our family. He attended many of the Indy 500 Races with us. His quick smile and Irish wit always lit up a room. We will dearly miss him.
Love,
Chris & Bonnie Meehan & boys

Our condolences to the Marks family on the passing of Jimmy, from Jim and Linda Christy
I’m so glad I knew Jimmy! He was always so happy, full of the joy of life.
I remember being at family dinners at the Marks’ and…early on, not always understanding his accent! (Just pass him the salt and hope that’s right. 🙂
I think of the whole Marks’ family every time the Indy 500 is mentioned.
I’m so glad your Mom and Dad got to travel home regularly; you could always sense the pride in where they came from.
I can see them both dancing at an event at The Heritage Center, remembering them at their 50th wedding anniversary party. And how dedicated Jimmy was when Norah got sick.
It looked like a good life well-lived from here. My condolences to you all.

We are sorry for Mr. Marks’ passing. He will be missed. Our condolences to the entire Marks family. Dave, Patrice, Marisa, and Matt Gronwick
If there ever was a gentleman, it would be Jimmy Mark’s. We always shared a special laugh together every Tuesday. Tuesdays were their (Tom Birt, Gene O’ Regan, Owen Doherty, Mike Hennessey just to name a few) day to get together at The Six Penny. They played pool and had the best laughs together. My deepest condolences to the Mark’s family. God bless and stay safe 🙏❤
Our condolences to the Marks family. Jimmy was a pure gentleman and he will be so missed by his family and wide circle of friends. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
It is with a heavy heart, but happy memories, that Mary and I offer our condolences to the Marks family on Jimmy’s passing. I literally grew up with Jimmy and his beloved Nora, who were such loving members of our extended family. Jimmy was truly a gentleman, with a kind heart and always, always a good (and funny) word. He brightened every room, and every life in which he entered. He was a role model for me and I can only hope that I have in some small way lived up to his standard. Go Blackhawks!
We are so very sad to hear about our dear friend Jimmy. Always good for a laugh & a great Melvina neighbor who would help you in a moment’s notice. Many good times spent together with the Tuesday morning gang at the Six Penny.
Gene (Owenie) & Jane O’Regan & family
My condolences on the passing of Jimmy.
Annalong came up in conversation today, and it made me think of Jimmy, and following an online search, I discovered his passing. I was on a J1 summer visa in Chicago in 1993, and Jimmy showed me the greatest kindness in a time when I most needed it. And of course, he made me laugh a lot too. We never kept in contact after, be he often crossed my mind, particularly when Co Down was mentioned. Jimmy, I hope you and Norah had a great life. RIP
