At peace in Christ on January 21, 2024 age 79. Aunt of Catherine Heger-Miller (the late Chuck Miller), William T. (Doris) Heger, Lauren Vogt, Mary Vogt, Thomas (Catherine Butler) Vogt, Jeanine Vogt (Kent) Salter; great-aunt and great-grand aunt of Miranda Rae Miller and Amelia (Mark Behzad); step-great aunt of Charles Jakob (CJ) Miller and family; and cousin of Anne DeFranco and Lynn Kubycheck and good friend of Marcia Dost.

Preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Agnes (nee Kamrat) Vogt, aunt Elsie Vogt, sisters Marilyn Heger and Beatrice Vogt, brother Thomas Vogt, and nephews John F. and Robert T. Heger, and sister-in-law of John T. Heger and nephew-in-law Chuck Miller.

Kathleen was born on August 20, 1944 and grew up in St. Andrew’s Parish in Chicago. She earned degrees from University of Illinois (Chicago), Northeastern Illinois, and Dominican University. She was a Test Development Specialist at Riverside Publishing Company for over twenty-five years and former Chicago Public School history teacher (Senn and Dunbar Vocational high schools). Longtime member of the Chicago Archaeological Society and the Chicago Audubon Society. She led an interesting life, loved to read and travel, visited all 50 states and many foreign countries. She will always be remembered for her frankness, quick wit, endless energy, and love of life. Kathleen was a woman of faith in God and was a proud member of the resurrection choir and the blanket ministry of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish. She will be remembered as a generous and caring person. She was an independent and vibrant spirit who will be greatly missed. Your thoughts and prayers will be appreciated. Interment St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery on August 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
